Siebert School
The Siebert Educational Program at Youth Home is an approved program through the Arkansas Department of Education. All of the teachers have a minimum of two certification areas, one of those areas being Special Education. The curriculum is aligned with the state standards and delivered at the students’ instructional levels.
In classes with a maximum number of 10 students, they receive a full instructional day of individualized education with a dually certified teacher and a Qualified Behavioral Health Provider in each classroom. Students also receive emotional support in a trauma-informed setting including the availability of school staff trained in de-escalation techniques, a sensory room with a variety of sensory activities and manipulatives, a decompression zone available when other methods have been unsuccessful in calming the students, and comfort rooms for a quiet, calming area to help work through anxious moments.
The classrooms are also equipped with the latest technology including smart tvs, iPads, 3-D printing machine, and many other supplemental materials.
