Youth Home offers a wide array of TRICARE® covered mental and behavioral health services in our residential treatment program.
Our residential treatment program for youth ages 12 to 17, was created to and is still committed to treating each child as an individual and providing exceptional treatment for military families from anywhere in the world. Our program addresses a children’s entire wellbeing including medical, psychiatric, social, and academic needs. We provide a variety of therapies and activities in a beautiful, safe and therapeutic environment for diagnoses like reactive attachment disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, severe depression/anxiety, trauma and more.

Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is an evidence-based treatment that helps children and their families address the negative effects of trauma, including processing their traumatic memories, overcoming problematic thoughts and behaviors, and developing effective coping and interpersonal skills.

CPT: Cognitive Processing Therapy is a type of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy 12-session trauma treatment

Sand Tray Techniques: used separately and in conjunction with EMDR. Useful to create a creative outlet for our clients to communicate their thoughts and feelings without words

Play Therapy Techniques: therapeutic games and interventions used in individual and family sessions to create safe and genuine engagement

We are known as leaders in treating Reactive Attachment Disorder. Our Child and Adolescent psychiatric programs are designed to treat the needs of each individual child. We primarily treat

We also have a specialty track for Sexual Reactivity, developed for sexually reactive patients to help them relearn healthy and age appropriate behaviors.
To be eligible for Youth Home's intensive psychiatric residential treatment program, patients must be 12 to 17 years of age and have recent attempts at treatment in outpatient therapy and/or and inpatient hospital.
Patients should be intellectually capable of benefiting from the program (Full-Scale IQ = 70 or above) and have severe emotional or behavioral issues related to a psychiatric diagnosis that require intensive treatment in a secure psychiatric facility. Youth Home also requires enrollment in an educational program (i.e. public school, day treatment, or vocational).
